God’s Provision
Ephesians 3:20 states, “With God’s power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or think of.” And He did give us so much more than we could have ever imagined that night, so long ago in Bethlehem, through the birth of His son Jesus. This promise was also very evident throughout 2019 at the CV Biblical Counseling Center.
Two and a half years ago, four of us with a passion for counseling, sat around a table and wondered if anyone would be interested in a Biblical counseling center. And now, just this past October, we had 146 sessions with ninety-one different clients. Equally as exciting, we presented the gospel fourteen times that month with two lives claimed for Christ! That is definitely exceedingly abundantly more than we ever could have imagined.
Those numbers represent healed marriages, changed lives, depression gone, hope restored, and so much more. Also in October 2019, with the help of the counselors and your generous donations, we were able to donate $2,800 worth of free counseling. The total for this year through November is just under $21,000 in free or reduced rate services! Thank you, Lord, that you are doing much, much more than anything we can ask or think of.
As we look forward to see what God has for us in 2020, we know we will be launching Becky Richardson into the mission field. Becky and I were the original counselors who started CV Biblical Counseling Center, and now she and her husband, Tommy, have been called to overseas missions. They will remain on the Board of Directors as they move to other areas of the globe. This will assist as we expand our Pastoral Care to more brothers and sisters in the mission field. Year to date, we have already had ninety-nine sessions with ministry leaders, and in 2020, we feel God is calling us to exceedingly abundantly more as we encourage and strengthen leaders in ministry around the world.
